Every damn time KUWTK comes on, you can expect at some point to see them with their sunnies hanging off their nose, sipping on that ice cold tea/lemonade looking deliciousness, and munching on fresh salads in plastic containers.
I KNOW I’m not the only one who drools every time they eat this, and EVERY TIME I’m thinking how amazing it looks and what/where it is they get these delights from.
Well, from some psycho stalker research and investigating, I’ve finally undiscovered the KUWTK lunch secret. (Maybe next I’ll figure out how to convince their plastic surgeon to hmu for a free trial…we’ll see).
The restaurant the Kardashian’s go to for their tea + salad lunch of choice is Health Nut located in the El Camino Shopping Center in Woodland Hills, CA.
It’s a locally-owned restaurant, so the only one of it’s kind. It’s small, fresh, local, and healthy. A total Kardash magnet.
A mix of classic lunchtime options with a take on some modern cuisine, their menu is loaded with everyday fresh salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and tea.
One thing Health Nut prides itself on is their own, house-made dressings. They bottle them up and sell them for customers to take home.
The girls typically order a Chef Salad which includes turkey breast, mozzarella, tomatoes, sprouts, and sunflower seeds. Priced at $11.25, Khloe usually adds chicken for a wopping $0.95.
The salad and dressing together is under 550 calories.
Don’t think I forgot about the drink! The crisp, refreshing drink they’re always sipping on is the Mango Passion Iced Greentini.
For those of us who don’t live in Calabasas and still want to live the Kardashian life, here’s a little DIY for you.
First, we need the containers. You can get the salad containers here.
Next, a little salad action.
Salad’s are basically the easiest meal to make. It’s the perfect dish for the person who can’t cook or is always on the go.
There is literally no wrong way to make a salad. You can put WHATEVER you want in there.
I have no set recipe I follow when I make my salads, but here’s an idea of what I’ll typically do.
A mix of kale and spring greens
Red, yellow, or green pepper (whatever I have)
(Sometimes) Feta cheese
Chopped almonds or walnuts
Drizzle with olive oil
Top with salt, pepper, and cilantro
Notice there’s no measurements. I literally just throw in however much I’m feeling that day. Sometimes I’ll add other ingredients, sometimes I sautee the veggies, sometimes I say what the hell, and I’ll dress it with ranch.
Regardless, it’s pretty easy to do lunch like a Kardashian. Or at least look like we do.
Oh! And for the mango tini, I don’t have an exact DIY recipe for that yet. Typically I’ll just drink water with lemon slices. But if I’m dying for something more refreshing, I’ll head to Starbucks and get the Mango Passion Iced Tea Lemonade. It’s TO DIE FOR.
